Cultural Tour: Barmbek and Winterhude

Barmbek has charm! This will become clear when you stroll through the Kultur-Flohmarkt (flea market) right by the Museum of Work or sit down on the banks of the Osterbekkanal. The PIASTA tutors will show you around this part of town, give you tips on cultural events, and take you to the Kampnagel performance arts center and then past the Osterbekkanal to the “Neue Schanze.” This hip and trendy place is Mühlenkamp and there are lots of cafés, bars, and restaurants to see and try out here. A walk along the Außenalster will complete the tour.
