  • 8:00 p.m.
We will email you the Zoom invitation link on the day of the event.

This workshop teaches you strategies and ways to support people who face racism. It aims to provide an open, critical space for reflecting on insecurities experienced by white people when engaging with the topic of racism. You will discuss and determine ways to act in concrete situations to be a helpful ally to people of color in Germany.

The 2 organizers will provide you with exercises to raise your awareness and talk about real examples from their own lives. Examples may include verbal abuse and racist language, racist jokes, racist pickup lines, or rejections or complications when seeking to rent an apartment, find work, or secure funding. Participants are asked to extract the concrete problem or key moments of the situations described and discuss how to react appropriately while considering the actual needs of people of color.
