Are you new to Hamburg? Are you unsure about formalities and dealing with public authorities? Specifically about how to apply for your student residence permit and the related dos and don’ts?

No matter whether you want to know how to register your new address in Hamburg, what to pay attention to when you complete your application for a residence permit, or how many hours a week students are allowed to work—at this information session we will explain all of these things in detail.

If questions or problems arise regarding the continuation of your studies for which you need advice on residence law, please contact the advisors in the International Office. They are there to support international students during their studies. Take advantage of the Welcome Week and get to know the staff!

This is an opportunity to ask any questions you have about getting started in Hamburg. For individual questions that need more time, there will be a consultation period at the end of the session. You can also arrange personal appointments.
