Picnic and Water Games in Planten un Blomen

  • 7:00 p.m.
  • 10:00 p.m.
Stephansplatz station (U-Bahn), exit Oper; meeting point at the park entrance by the lying sculpture

Planten un Blomen is a beautiful green oasis in the city—and it isn’t far from campus. Just get yourself something to eat at one of the many stores nearby and head over to this park to enjoy the sun and have a picnic here after a long day at the University.

If you are in the mood for company, join us at the park. Planten un Blomen has lots of nice spots—by the water, under the trees, and on the grass—where we can picnic together and all get to know each other. This is a good way to relax and get away from daily university life and make new acquaintances at the same time! And maybe you’d like to meet up with the others here more often after university!

In the summer, the water and light concerts take place every evening at 10 pm. It’s always nice to enjoy this atmosphere on a warm summer evening, when young and old alike sit down by the park lake and are captivated by the play of music, light, and water. You can stay until 10 pm to bid farewell to the park with a water and light concert.

What do I need to bring with me?

  • Bring your own blanket or a scarf to sit on.
  • Do not forget to bring something to drink and eat for the picnic.

We look forward to meeting you!
