Studying with Disabilities or Chronic Illnesses
02.10.2024
- 10:00 a.m.
- 11:00 a.m.
You are starting your studies at Universität Hamburg and have a disability or chronic illness, and are concerned about how you will manage. Would you like to know more about the support offered by the University and the Studierendenwerk Hamburg and find out who you can turn to if you have questions?
The Office for Students with Disabilities is the central point of contact at Universität Hamburg for students with chronic health problems. They provide advice and support in all matters related to studying with a chronic disease or disability, for example, if you need modified coursework or examination requirements (compensation for disadvantages).
The Counselling Centre for Social and International Affairs – BeSI, run by the Studierendenwerk Hamburg, advises you on how to ensure financial security through social benefits and discounts.
At this information session, you will meet staff members from both offices and have an opportunity to find out more about the services they offer.
This event will take place via Zoom. The event will be simultaneously interpreted into German Sign Language.
