Discover the hidden dynamics of privilege and transform your understanding of race and racism in this workshop. Drawing from critical whiteness studies, we’ll examine how race-based identities and privileges shape societal structures and everyday interactions.

Through engaging discussions, interactive activities, and self-reflection, participants will develop a nuanced understanding of whiteness and discover practical strategies for fostering racial sensitivity and equity in their personal and professional lives.

The workshop offers a unique opportunity for students to critically engage with concepts of whiteness and privilege, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to make a meaningful impact within the university structures, communities and future careers.

Workshop Goals:

· Gain a comprehensive understanding of critical whiteness studies and white privilege

· Develop greater sensitivity and awareness of racism

· Learn practical strategies for challenging white privilege and promoting equality

· Foster a personal and professional commitment to advancing racial justice
